Help with building muscle

Im a tall 13 year old girl who runs cross country. I need help understanding what kind of exercises to do in order to build muscle in my arms, legs, and core (but mostly my core). I have tried searching the internet for exercises to incorporate in my workouts but all that comes up is diet websites.

I normally run about 3-4 miles daily with rest days on Sundays, and workout 4 times a week. I do crunches, push ups, and stretches (sometimes pilates or yoga) and jumping jacks (I don’t really need to, but I think they’re fun) My diet includes a balance of all the key nutrients. I drink lots of water (and I mean lots), take multivitamins and drink protein shakes after I run (sometimes; they’re icky).

I am a good runner but I know that I can do better with more strength. I am not looking to loose weight, but rather to opposite. And lastly, I do cross train with tennis, soccer, swimming (in the summer), and horse back riding (mainly for fun).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

*** I would highly suggest this ab program. While it is a bit misleading because the title of the program is about abs, it’s an overall entire body workout and diet program, including building more muscle and eating healthy. click here for more details. It is difficult for women to put on the pounds, but I am finding it very enjoyable and I feel great using the suggested diet plans etc…
